Quark's Top 10 New Features

Quark has listed its top 10 features for Quark 7. But is this enough to stack up against InDesign? Terry White doesn't think so. There's a few movies and articles over at Layers Magazine to make you think twice about Quark.

Others are heralding Quark's latest release as a return back to what their strengths were in the days when they dominated the desktop publishing world. I'm glad that they are focusing on graphics, layout, interface changes that make sense to a designer, improved workflow tools. It's about time. When they were floundering with XML-based authoring and other web features of the product, it kind of diluted their value as a presence in the graphics world.

It's still gonna be an uphill climb for them considering (A) their price point compared to value and (B) InDesign's complete integration in the Adobe Studio.
